I was just passing through this time but the people in Arkansas are so friendly and welcoming. Sim's BBQ had been recommended by a local but because of the storms we were not able to try it. Hot Springs is pretty close, too, and has many nice trails for walkers right around the National Park which surrounds the town. And don't miss McClard's BBQ if in Hot Springs. Uber is a great way to get around if you don't have a car. Also not in LR, the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is exceptional (and free) if you are able to get to Bentonville.

I did not visit many of the sites this time. due to the purpose of the trip and the time restraints; however, I think Little Rock is a wonderful city and worth a visit or two. It’s filled with wonderful people, places and things to see and do.

The whole area is under construction.
The whole area is under construction. The traffic is crazy and it's not a very friendly area. We were told that the police raided the hotel the night before due to prostitution. 20 people were supposedly arrested.

We wouldnt stay here again due to the noise from the people upstairs. The staff didnt bother to ask the people to quiet down. We were up til midnight, when it finally got quiet. The road traffic is a bit loud also. The beds are more firm. Our backs were hurting. If you like firm beds and noise, this is your hotel. And we still haven't figured our why we paid $20 for parking.

Little rock was probably the rudest place I have ever experienced. A certain group of people really made it terrible. It is a nice place in its scenery, but the oppressed people are horrible especially the staff at the hospital. We are from Texas and just smiled away at the rudeness.

The rooms were like sleeping in your grandma's bedroom. Very homey and clean. The breakfast was really outstanding! The presentation was so pretty and the food was scrumptious! But usually the best part of staying in a Bed and Breakfast is getting to know the people and the places you are visiting. Getting to visit with Antonio, the owner, was that for us. He made us feel right at home like we were visiting family. Our visit with Antonio will be a big part of the memories that we take home from that visit to the Empress of Little Rock.
I travel a lot (I have been around 80 countries) almost six months a year. It was my first time in pretty Arkansas. This hotel is one of the best ever (on the world). Fantastic!! I liked everything. The staff was amazing, such wonderful ladies; everyone. The room is big, comfortable, clean, very well equipped, beautiful. Bed, shower, refrigerator, TV, everything was great. The breakfast was abundant and tasteful. The lobby is nice. They even have a basketball court. Location is perfect, the area is safe. I enjoyed so much; thanks!!
I have stayed here exclusively every time I come to Little Rock, and have always, always been supportive of the hotel and staff, as in the beginning, the staff were super nice, supportive, funny and respectful. I also wrote positive reviews to support the establishment as all my experiences were positive, even if the rooms weren’t always set up property or if the heat wasn’t working, etc. And I was always happy coming back, until this last stay of mine.
Great location, near Little Rock airport. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The hotel is very new. The beds were oh, so soft - it was very hard to get out of bed and get the day started….wanted to lounge in those comfy beds all day. Breakfast was good. The grab and go cafe had a good selection of items to choose from. The bar menu was good too. The bartender was a hoot….she was so friendly!
The breakfast was good, plenty of choices both hot and cold. The room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. It wasn’t nice to have a Benihana’s on site. We ordered dinner, picked it up and ate in our room. The location of this hotel was convenient to the interstate but quiet and close to everything in Little Rock.
The best aspect of this hotel was the staff. Sherell really made the difference. She was friendly, professional and made me feel welcome. She helped me to check in one hour early which I really appreciated.
Also, the hotel is very nice. It is only a 10 minute walk from downtown Little Rock.
Good breakfast.
It is a very nice hotel. Very clean. Phenomenal staff. Beautiful rooms. Comfortable beds. Very centrally located to attractions, restaurants. Staff Very knowledgeable about Little Rock. I will stay there again. I was very impressed with the hotel. They are a Trillion Stars.
The photos advertised made the place look decent but was not what was shown. The hotel is non-smoking but smelled horribly of marijuana and the linen had an odd smell. There were air purifiers throughout the halls and no elevator. Not very accommodating or comfortable.
Great new hotel with immaculately clean rooms and friendly helpful staff. Close to Clinton library and downtown. Breakfast was varied and good. Easy parking.
The room was nice but everything was only moderately clean. It was a busy time for the hotel so I understand but the overall experience was not the best.
